pain is the result of faulty alignment and function of the bones and
muscles of your legs. With each step you take, more than 26 foot and ankle
bones and 208 muscles are used which affect your knees, hips and lower
back. So it is not surprising that many knee, hip and back pains are a
result of poor functioning feet.
Our physical therapists
are specially trained to make orthotics to fit your feet.
Your physical therapist will do a complete evaluation of your lower
extremity structure, alignment and function and will evaluate your gait.
Your therapist will then fabricate your foot orthotics, custom-made to the
specific contours and structural characteristics of your feet.
What do foot orthotics
do?
Custom foot orthotics are supportive devices that are worn in your shoes
and position your foot in proper alignment. The orthotics support the foot
and ankle and align the joints within your foot, resulting in more
normalized weight distribution and a significant reduction in pain and
discomfort.
Who can benefit from
custom foot orthotics?
Everyone can benefit from proper foot support. Specifically, if you suffer
from foot,
shin, knee, hip, or back pain, you will see a significant benefit. Even
those without specific problems will see the benefits of better support
and comfort, especially athletes or people who are on their feet a lot.
Age, weight and activity create the need for better foot support. Think
preventive; help eliminate potential problems.
Do custom foot orthotics
require special shoes?
Orthotics can be made to fit in most shoes. The better your shoe, the
better your orthotics will work. Comfortable walking shoes with removable
insoles work the best. However, your therapist or doctor will
encourage you to purchase the best fitting shoe for your foot type.

here in our clinic. In most cases, we offer SAME-DAY service, allowing you
to take your orthotics home with you and get you on the road to fast
relief.
Orthotics are affordable
and may be covered by insurance.
Our custom-made foot orthotics are $196/pr. Evaluation charges are billed
to insurance. If private pay, please call us (405) 843-5710 for costs of
evaluation and fabrication. We will be glad to assist you in contacting
your insurance company and coordinating your care with your doctor.
